Careers

The San Diego Police Foundation proudly supports America’s finest police department by cultivating positive community engagement and helping fund vital equipment and specialized training that ensures peace and safety for all.

Our Work Encompasses:

  • Funding critical needs that are not fulfilled through the city budget.
  • Supporting programs that address domestic violence and online predators, promote diversity of SDPD personnel, and enhance police-community relations.
  • Advocating for better safety measures and practices in our communities.
  • Strengthening the mutually beneficial relationship between SDPD and the public it serves.
  • Raising awareness of the outstanding service SDPD provides to our communities.

We do not fund lethal weapons, personnel, regular police vehicles, officer uniforms, or standard police equipment.

Our team of nine staff members is based at our office in the Columbia District of downtown San Diego. Our fundraising efforts continue year-round, including two major annual events, with an overall total fundraising goal of $1.8 million. The Foundation is an independent 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, governed by a volunteer board of 12 community and business leaders.
