2023 Silver Soirée Honorary Chairs
Emily and David Rex have been named Honorary Chairs of this year’s Silver Soirée, in recognition of their long-standing and passionate support for our men and women in blue.
Emily and David have been actively engaged with the San Diego Police Foundation since 2012. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Departure, Emily contributed time, talent, and treasure to the Foundation’s communications, and her company, Departure, has generously donated “in-kind” gifts totaling well into six figures in value. David twice championed very significant donations from his company, R&R Construction. Emily has served on the Police Foundation Board since 2017 and is the current Board Secretary. Emily and David have been members of the Police Council Giving Circle since 2018, and they have personally supported our K9 Crimefighters Campaign, Women in Blue initiative, and Safety For All series, a virtual safety educational program, which takes you “behind-the-scenes” with the San Diego Police Department.
If you know them, you are aware of their robust dedication to the cause of public safety. Their leadership and generosity are an example to us all. We are thrilled to honor Emily and David as we celebrate 25 years of purpose and partnership.
