These academies offer a series of educational sessions where participants can learn about various aspects of policing, including policies, ethical guidelines, and the role of SDPD in the community.

“Drive Thru Event Only”
Citizens are encouraged to bring their unwanted firearms to the Joe & Vi Jacobs Center parking lot located at 404 Euclid Avenue in exchange for a gift card. Citizens turning in a handgun will receive a $100. Citizens turning in an assault rifle will receive $200 gift card.
